icebergs are melting (I AM), a performance group under the direction of dancer/choreographer rae shao-lan blum, fosters collaboration between dance artists, composers, musicians, writers and visual artists.  In this time of melting icebergs and other critical events that impact and alter our experience of being human, our mission is to make work that examines, mimics, or refuses mental separation between self and event, experience and experienced, body and space.  We look to the icebergs--our awesome, mysterious, powerful and vulnerable beacons--for a way personally to melt, to break off and drift, to collide, to offer a surface, to go deep, and to be exposed to weather, change, and impermanence.
